now, i need a good/reliable car alarm that i would hope to have work with my keyless remotes & chipped keys that i all ready have..... what car alarm systems do you guys reccommend (links please) ?

thanks.

No seriously I forgot the brand I was looking into it's like lojack and it also pages you and calls your cell phone or whatever # you program (kinda creepy) I'll get the name then you can check it out, i know it came down to rods and pistons or this alarm I am forged now, so I am glad you brought this up again cause now is the time. Ill post it later or in the am if I can get ahold of him.

Ravelco here. factory alarm, with an added circuit, upgraded horns.

I Have Had 3 Vipers On My Last 3 Trucks, The 10 Will Be The 4th,Never Had 1 Problem. The Remote Start Is SWEET!!!! Plus If The Alarm Goes Off It "Pages" Your Remote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

call me old school but I think Vin# etched on the glass and a hidden switch that prevents starting or like that of the Ravelco is the best defense. Only way to take mine is via a flat bed.

Many many years ago I sold/installed auto alarms. Very easy to bypass...

As for GPS tracking...if you have indian reservations near you GPS is worthless. The reporting agency i.e. Lojack will be able to see your vehicle but can not give its location to anyone if its determined to be on Indian soil.

i also have a viper and love it,it will be the only alarm i go with for now on.

I Had The "Talking" Siren Option On My 05 Hemi Sport, Im Getting Another On My SRT-10!!!! Its Awesome! You Can Program You Voice, And say ANYTHING You Want it To Say! Also Mine Had A Mic in The Cab I Could Talk Through.

This is the one I'm looking at, I mean who doesn't want to hear "Viper Armed" from a Viper powered truck. :dontknow: :)
Yup, and you can buy the voice box and make your own comments (as Diablo said). While the "Viper Armed" is cool I created my own voice. I did it using a voice changer and now mine says 3 things in "Ed-209s" voice from Robocop: "Batram Armed", "Batram Disarmed" and "Batram Activated" (when remote started). Bloody awesome, especially at a gas station etc. :D People are like "WTF??" I have a few switches on the roof console, 1 of them is 1 to turn the voice on or off for situations where I don't want too much attention. I usually have it off anyhow.

Carl that is freakin sweet. This is the alarm that I'm going to get it just won't have the attention to detail for customization that you've put in yours.
