It was a compliment... And in good fun. You bringing tony up when his name was never spoken adds fuel to the fire. I jab at Dom, but we have also pm'd and understand its not personal and also in good fun.
I looked up to and respected Dom for years as providing good advice, being a record setter, and having a signature sense of humor that I get and can relate to. He's either been a different person, or I have taken his humor differently since I returned to the forum with my second truck. I was gone during the falling out, know little of it and haven't taken sides. My compliment to Dom was sincere and it truely is welcomed to hear something positive.
I think I can speak for many that this gesture from Dom was so out of character recently that it could easily be construed as a publicity stunt. I feel this isn't the case and it was genuine. I also hope he keeps up this persona, not giving away free items, but simply contributing to the forum in a positive way. It isn't his style to give a fukk what people think of him, but I feel without a doubt that if he keeps it up, it wouldn't take long before he earned a lot of the lost respect from many members on this forum. Finally, by simply loosening up a little without changing who he is or pretending to be something we know he's not, his interactions with people here would be much improved and enjoyable for him and all the other innocent onlookers.
