My six disc changer has locked up again

I have four discs in it or I would just use it for stress relief (aka target practice)

Anyone know how to get them out ?

Warranty is long gone,so............................:dontknow:

Ok, I'm a smart azz.

Mine did the same thing. Hitting that dash worked for a couple of months, then I just had to replace it. Called the Dodge house and the wanted $2,600!!!!! to EXCHANGE it. I said screw it and put in an aftermarket single CD stereo for $350 bucks. I had 3 Kid Rock CD's stuck in there. Thats' the part that really pissed me off. Good luck.

Borrow Mutt's Jack dispenser, get it drunk and it may barf them up:dontknow: :D :D ;)

Try disconnecting the battery for 10 or 15 minutes, then reconnect it? :dontknow:

are you using burned disks?... if you are make sure the disks you're using are the same thickness as purchased disk. the thinner ones get jammed in the players. that is the number one reason cd players fail

And NO stick on labels!

That's the biggie. I had a burned CD with a stick on label and that's what jammed mine. At least then it was under warranty. So replaced under by dealership.

But.... it's not too hard to disassemble the unit to get your cd's out. Just take it slowly!

Stretch

I about had it with CDs, cassettes, FM radio, 8-tracks and reel to reels.. For now iPod or any other portable hard drive media player is the way to go. More tunes in less space... until a chip is made where one can install it directly into their brian to download music to it.

i had it on my radio too. Disk mechanism was complete f'd up.
Had to remove the radio and open up to retrieve the (original) CD's.
OEM radio's are crap.
