"P1486-EVAP LEAK MONITOR PINCHED HOSE FOUND - SRT10"

Would this cause my truck to run rough cutting in and out sounds like its missing. I thought it was the TPS so I replaced that but still doing it and finally a light came on with the code. How can I trace the lines and look for a pinched hose:dontknow: Is it for the fuel?

its not a fuel hose, its a evap system hose (emmisions). There is a diagram somewhere (ill do a search for it on the forum) that has the route for the evap lines.

It starts @ the gas cap and works its way to the front of the motor. If your under warranty, best way is to have them deal with it and run tests with the drbIII.

Chit.....no more warranty:(

Red do you think it could cause my cutting out condition?

How did you check for codes?

I tried turning my key on and off 3 times to see if I have any codes and I didn't see anything, anywhere.:dontknow:

Do the codes show up in the odometer section?

The very first time I tried it, I did the key trick, but I wasn't doing it fast enough. My first attempt was by turning it on/off three times and each time I returned to the off position I pressed the release for the key (M6,RC).

Then I did it by using one hand and holding down the key-release button and turning the switch on/off three times fairly quick and leaving the key in the on position on the third time, then the code displayed. I felt like a D.A. :D

The code is displayed in the odo section. :)

I think there has to be something wrong with the system for something to actualy show up....but like ROZ said...turn you key 3 times in quick succession and on the third time leave it in the ON position.;)

Hey Chad
Call me,that code shouldn,t affect driveabilty!
Check all your basics first,PLUGS,Ign. wires and fuel.
When did the you first notice the problem?:dontknow:
You should have a missfire code(po301,302,ETC)
I can talk you through most of the diagnostics:rock:
