Centerforce question

so would i be better off just getting a new stock clutch?....whats the $$ diffrence an does a new stock clucth come with a new pressure plate?

It comes with the pressure plate. You could install the CF clutch and buy the Viper slave later.

I put in a Centerforce with stock equipment and I burned it everytime I had to slip it, in traffic ect. You are better off with the stock clutch and spend money on the hydraulic upgrade from Justin, that is what I did, with minor problems since. In my opinion, there is no perfect clutch set-up with these trucks, I have done CF, Viper Slave and Master, and stock set-up, the stock clutch and viper equipment works best.

i just don't think the stock clutch will take the beating i'm going to be dishing out on it tho a 350+ shot of nitrous on a stock clutch?????

i'm thining i might just go back with the stock unit and pray it holds up to the beating it's going to take

Oh and stay AWAY from the lighter Fidanza flywheel during the clutch install.. Your truck will feel weaker as it will rev up faster.. I'm thinking of going back to an OEM flywheel..

the original question was can i install the CF and not do the upgrade?...seems THAT answer is no...so to offset, or rather, bide some time, go ahead and install a factory clutch for now...then you can do the whole upgrade later...IMO...it was a question about a temporary fix, no??

I don't see why you couldnt. If I have the Centerforce with the upgrades, AND Fatjack is running the uppgrade and stock clutch, then why could you not run centerforce on stock setup..... ?

wellheres what i did i just called my builder hes going to be putting the stock clutch back into it...and i'll save for the upgrade thanks for all your help.....i didn't know that there were so many ways and really not that many good clutch set ups for our trucks sounds like i might be going with a stock clutch with the slave upgrade

look into SPEC ,,they have them for our trucks ,,,i have one brand new in the box here waiting to get put in

i talked to spec at length, and they said it was a great clutch for this truck, and a lot of people have ordered them, and none of them have come back....so FWIW...

The stock hyrdaulics are not strong enough to move the CF properly. You will f#ck up your new CF clutch without upgraded viper hydraulics.

This is a point/ Never though about that. Thanks Patrick.

i put a centerforce clutch in at 22,000 miles, i now have 69,300 miles with stock hydrolic system still working fine. my truck is not babied.
