i got a 2004 RC with 17,000 mioles and im trying to change the fluids in the transmison and the differencial with royal purple, has any one done this? im looking to see what kind of oil does it take in the transmision and what kind in the diferencial?? any help will be :congrats: thanks

I was told by my viper tech that he uses mopar fluids in the acr vipers he works on at the race track. Good enough on the track good enough in my ride. He recommends only this. It ain't cheap but it is the best to use. If you need to use royal purple see Stinker at jtsvenom performance:rock: he can hook you up.

You can use 75w90 synchromesh in the tranny but most sway to ATF fluid , for easier shifting in the tranny.

about 4 quarts

The rear axle takes 75w-90 or 140 depending on your area.
also about 4 quarts.

but if a use atf fluid in the trans. will it no harm my trans.??

It will void your warranty for the trans but it will shift much better...even the manufacturer recommends ATF.....and yes..use the additive in the diff...4 oz..

I was told to use twice the slip additive for better lub. 8 0z total. I am told it is really fish oil?

I have heard the same...4oz is per manual but some here have used 8oz....I used 6oz in mine because that is what the tube had in it..

i use mobil 1 atf in my trans for last 10k miles without problems & it shifts a ton better......

the dealer will void warranty work on your transmission, but tremec (the manufacturer) recommends atf..... :)

so atf will be the best??? i like mobile 1. i will do change it to atf and for the rear i will do royal purple with 8oz of aditive.

Don't go removing your differential cover though.. Just the drain plug. Oh and you might have to lower your spare to make it a bit easier to refill the differential. Put the additive in first so you know you have it all in there. Then top off with the Royal Purple..

Use Mopar® Synthetic 75W-85 Manual Transmission Lubricant for the trans and add 2 4oz bottles of friction modifier with the fluid before you add it to the trans. (the reason atf makes it shift better is because atf has friction modifiers in it) using this combination will not void your warranty.
for the rear diff exactly what stinker said. high temp climates use the 75-140 synthetic or lower temps 75-90 synthetic with 2 bottles of friction modifier to the fluid before you add it in the diff...(I always remove the rear diff cover, clean all the old fluid out with brake cleaner. dont contaminate new fluid with the old fluid and inspect your clutches, gears and bearings for abnormal wear.)
