Check this out

He is at the very least going to get a new car and loss of use. Even the worst lawyer in the world could get him that.

That dealership would not be there anymore if they did that to me, figure that one out.....It would be a parking lot.....

Sorry maybe that was too harsh, I'd wait it out for a 2014 Z/28 with the right lawyer.

I'd be in jail for literally bulldozing the entire building and all their cars on the lot. Not before bulldozing the managers house first.

Now we're getting somewhere........There's not much that can't be solved with the application of high explosive's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so glad I have a valet tune. The lawyers will have to work this one out.......I doubt anyone will be happy in the end.:(

If I were them I would be getting a '14 ZL1... since the Dealership is being like this I would also be getting a '14 ZR1 and with the loss of use and defamation suit I'm sure you can get with his comments a lot of coin too

only thing i'm confused about is an employee basicly broke into a closed dealership stole the car & wiped it out.

and the shit stain ex. employee just got fired???

employee or not it is grand theft auto, right???

If the keys are with the car, it is not stolen. They will get the check from ins company, and are pretty much beat for anything else. INCLUDING ins deductible. Been there, done that, got the wreck to prove it. I paid a very good lawyer a lot of money to find out i was beat. I feel horrible for them, and wish nothing but the worst for the dealership. The one guy got it right, call under a fake name and schedule a appointment. If enough people do that it will hurt them substantially. They do not make a good profit on sales, its parts and service that keeps a dealer alive.

Keys werent in the car, they were in the service department office.

Does not matter. Keys were in the ignition at time of accident, and at some point handed over from the owners to the dealership, it was not stolen. The owners gave the keys over, and trust does not stand for anything in the eyes of the law. Trust is at the discretion of the owner. I think it is bullshit, but the dealership's lawyer will win the case if it went to trial.

Wow this a real story unlike; http://www.vtcoa.com/forums/f7/saw-cop-get-shot-today-59008/. But that really sucks, so just cause someone wanted to go joyride the customer had to pay for it in the end.

Lookin like it. I have a buddy that works for our local Dodge place. He takes vehicles out for "diagnostic test drives" all the time during business hours and sometimes to drive home for further testin. I'm sure he will be in this workers shoes one day.

Well I guess we're back to the "parking lot" idea then!!!!!!!!!!!

Think it would be time for a call to Chevrolet/GM Corporate office's, this will be bad press for sure......... Think that dealer will be closing it's doors soon, or someone will close them for them........

The dealership should have just replaced the car in the 1st two mins of it happening. Its going to cost them a lot more now that this is getting spread world wide. No one is going to buy a car from there anymore after they hear this story let alone leave their vehicle there for service work.

Looks like it's been resolved by GM and another dealership stepping up for a new ZL1, kudos to GM if it all pans out for them.......
