my pass. (karen the one who does not post?) brought home a mothers clay bar kit! early christmas preasent!!!! now at the gtg at boomer's in evensville, eddie gave me some great info about clay bar,ing! karen and i are going to start tomorrow! well im going to start tomorrow. the mothers kit comes with a spray bottle, (lubricant) and a small bottle of wax when your done! in the instructions the only thing that i found odd was that i does not say to wash your ride befor you use the wax! IE you use a spray to use the clay bar, and i know eddie said to wash it after you clay bar it, then wax! and after seeing his truck!!!!!!!!!!! lets just say it is a mirror finish!!! and after having diner with eddie. I RESPET HIS OPINION!! He is the man! now, im not a puter guy but i will post some befor/after pics! if i am capable! (yup im a silverback) if anyone has any thoughts/ or ideas or anything please let me know! ill start in the morning! oh yeah karen helped me start a myspace thing and if anyone would like to see it, its www.myspace.com/devildog1214 if anyone wants to check it out! by the way i am new to this so if i dont know who you are, i wont acept you as a friend. not trying to be an ass, just a heads up!@!!
 
Use Dawn soap to wash the truck, that will remove the wax thats on there.
Then, mix a little car soap with water in the spray bottle (dont use dawn soap).
Spray the mixture over a small area and lightly rub the clay bar over it, when you've done that use a dry clean towel to wipe off the residue and water.
Complete this over the entire vehicle, you dont need to rub hard, just lightly apply the clay bar...no circular motions!!

When your done with the clay bar process, wash the car/truck with a non dawn soap to ensure all the clay bar stuff and dirt is off before waxing.

Now, take the back of your hand and feel the difference before and after the clay bar, its pretty incredible!

Apply your wax or finishes per instructions.

I just finished re-clay baring and Zaino-ing my truck today after getting a bunch of road tar on it a few weeks ago. Its now baby butt smooth again...good for a few tenths quicker at the strip :)
 
my truck is black! and i will post befor and aft! not sure if will do justice! but i will! its late and im drinking!:rock: so the morning thing is gone! but i cant wait to try this!!! i will post pics of before wash/after wash and then when i claybar! then i will post after i wash/rinse and wax! this will take all day so please be patient! and dont forget to ask karen about nudes!!:D
 
started at noon! its hot as hell!!! im hung over! what did i get myself into!!! i took 2 pics befor i started, ill have karen take some pics when im done! man my head hurts!!
 
that is the most work you can think of! good luck!!! can't wait to see the results. I used the mother's clay bar kit on my green impulse, and after about 4 hours of washing, clay baring, washing, waxing, etc. it was like a show car again.
 
break time!! 88 degrees! and humid! im done with the clay, i used almost all the spray stuff! hope thats normal, now im going to wash and wax!
 
make sure and give it a good coat of wax afterwards, the clay bar takes everything off. also pm me your email address so i can add you as a friend

This is the stuff that i use on all my truck and cars it is way better then the shit that you bey at the auto stores zano wax and polish you will get a better look

Yep, Zaino rocks. Only thing is I buy Griot's clay bar. In my opinion it's much better.
