So I have come up with the money for the new clutch and I have been debating whether or not to buy the centerforce and just go with the spec. I spoke to Chuck over at tator's and he said buy the centerforce. Any opinions should I buy the centerforce or go with the spec. Any help is appreciated.
 
I think the Centerforce may do better on the Viper cars, than our trucks. From what it looks like the Spec is the way to go.
 
Just put the Centerforce in and I am happy with it. I don't go to the track but for an upgrade over the stock, you can't go wrong for the price.
 
Unless you want to put in a new clutch again in 10K-20K miles dont get the CenterForce.....I talk from experience with the CenterForce...No experience with the Spec but from what I read and trust in Stink I will be ordering one this week to replace my wornout CenterForce..
 
If you go with a centerforce, let me know. I have a new in box one that I'll give you a deal on from Justin and I am close to you. I think I want to get a spec, mostly from what I've heard about the pedal effort on the CF.
 
SPEC!!!! Unless its a drag truck. Usually the better the clutch ie: grip and hp ratings the shorter lifespan.
 
Odered my Stage 3 today will let you all know after I get it in. Now just gotta wait:bandit::motz:
 
I've not priced them out, but I thought the McLeod's and the Tilton's were megabucks and not worth it unless you have real big power.
 
I have a McLeod with ceramic pads not organic. The springs are very stiff. My stock clutch was toast after 6k. I replaced it with a Centerforce. When I pulled the motor the clutch was almost gone and the fly wheel showed signs of very high heat. I got about 12k miles on it.

Don't they have to be adjusted after so many miles or no?
 
I keep hearing bad stuff about the centerforce but I plan on dragging the truck occasionally but I use it as my daily so if the spec if a better all around clutch I would rather go with that. It also seems to me like everyone who has had the centerforce has either replaced them multiple times or is planning on switching to the spec. What Spec stage should I try to buy?

If your pretty much stock you can get a stage one or 2 any higher without being moded is just a waste of money. Plus the spec and others are suppossed to have a closer to stock pedal feel. I dont know about you but traffic jams suck with the centerforce without a justifiable reason other than better than stock. A stage one is about 20-30% better than a stocker(which is a centerforce is in IMO with a stiffer pedal as a trade off:toilet: But if you have a week or 2 to wait I will do a right up on the spec(although Its a stage III );)
 
Aren't the spec cheaper as well. Couldn't I get a better performance spec for the price I'd spend on the centerforce
