codes and exhaust question

hello all
i have two questions,first one is how do you reset the check engine light and how do you know what code it is throwing up,and second question is has any one had any problems with the clamps on the magnaflow exhaust.my exhaust will not stop leaking around the clamps.
i do have justin's pipes on and i have to say they do rock,if i could just get the exhaust to stop leaking where it connects to the mids.
maybe that is why the check engine light is coming on.:dontknow: :dontknow:

Codes are here http://www.vtcoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11 To reset the light unhook the battery for 5 mins. To get the code turn the key off and on 3 times with the third time leave it on. The code will show where the odometer is located.

when you say its leaking... do you hear an exhaust leak or are you seeing some carbon build up where they connect? if you're just seeing some carbon then thats normal.

My stock exhaust is leaking on the clamps too and it is normal but I don't know about your magnaflow. :dontknow:

Exhaust leaks are the worst.............get it welded. Mine would tighten enough ever.

Several folks have welded their Magnaflows and tossed out the clamps

I doubt the exhaust leak(s) caused the CEL.

What was the error ?
