Hey guys, after driving my Viper I want something to drive more as a daily driver with as much thrill.. I now drive a Ford Excursion V10 so its not like gas mileage is a priority. I was thinking about getting a SRT10 Truck. The torque is amazing in the car. I droved a modded 1995 Impala SS with 450hp this weekend and it felt slow. How's the truck feel compared to the car. I know this is kinda of a wierd question, but just wondering. After having 500hp and 500ft lb of torque at your beckon call, its hard to drive anything "regular". Any advice would be appreciated.

Drives great. Great brakes. Great handling. Comfortable seats. You don't burn your leg when you exit the vehicle.

Obviously it isn't as fast or anything like that- but it is a absolute joy to drive.

I rented a yellow viper convertible on Oahu for a few days. Was a thrilling experience. I can't afford a Viper right now so I got the next best thing.

Get one!

The trucks are great, bone stock they are slugish I think! Doing a few simple mods they wake up pretty good, get rid of the 4 cats and and a CAI (or drop in K&N) and a tune and they are alot more fun!! And for the price they are down there they are a steal of a deal for what your getting!!

I was looking at a couple 2006 Quad Cabs nearby. I read something on here about them being overrated on HP. What's wrong with that year? I do need the QC expecially if I get rid of the X.

there's no comparison.

if you want a car to take out on the weekends or to the car shows that runs 11's with the top down, get a viper.

if you want to haul sheetrock and mulch, get the truck:D

a QC with a tune, bolt on's, and a set of tires will get into the 11's and still put $10k in your pocket...

depends on what you're looking for...

i know a mildly modded RC will beat a viper car in the 8th with a poor driver in the viper;)

there's no comparison.

^^This. I have a 99 Roe supercharged Viper and a Roe supercharged SRT 10 QC. I like both, but the Viper feels like a beast compared to the QC. I'm sure the RC feels more sporty compared to the QC.

I still love the QC and it's really fun to drive. It just isn't as fun as a Viper.

My Viper is an 03 so yea, I guess there will never be any comparison. I'll keep thinking on it for a daily driver.

What don't you like about the Viper for a DD? I don't DD mine because I don't want to worry about it being messed with while at work ect..

I have to carry around kids and have a lot of junk I carry around. Also, just as you, I certainly don't want it messed with either.

They are nothing alike, except for the V10 sound. The truck is a heavy beast, the Viper is nimble and quick.

Compared to other trucks, the Ram SRT10 will feel like an animal. Comparing the truck to the car, not so much. Owning both, you will really feel the difference.
