I'm posting this as an attempt to retrieve some info on the process of CNC mills. We have a 700 pound mill machine over here but its a manual of course. I understand the CNCs are automated to a large degree and operate via computer input, yeah? Anyone know what format a CNC will take for input? Or do you have to have a certain CAM application? The reason I'm asking is I'd like to design a number of billet accessories through AutoCADD or some such program and then turn it over to BOOMER and have him make them. I've already asked him and he accepts outside work for the CNC. The first thing I have in mind is the lower billet grille to match the stock grille. Then some engine dressup goodies. But can anyone tell me some specifics of the CNC operation?
