A couple of months ago I got a set of Continental tires from tire rack. Well, they kick ass. Unlike the stock tires, there's no wider middle row of tread. The pattern is the same the whole way across the tire. The truck hooks up a little better, and it doesn't jump all over the road on uneven pavement, which was a big problem for me because the roads suck so bad here. They also grab MUCH better around corners.

Too early to say as far as longevity goes, but I love the way they handle. They look good too, although there's not really much difference at a glance from stock.

As for the stockers, they died a fun death up at the high school parking lot the night before I threw on the new Continentals. I should have had my wife video tape it. I was actually surprised at how well they stood up through about 5 nice, long brake stands.

i have heard they dont have a good tread ware rating. well see for sure now keep us posted

Maybe. But the tread seems deeper than the stockers were, so that might make up for the loss.

Which Continentals did you go with? I was looking into the Continental CrossContact UHP's too! Are these the ones you got? The tire guy said they would be the equivalent to the stockers.

I have them too.
only 2k now but it's winter here(netherlands/europe),lot's of rain/cold.
Better grip in the rain do then the pirelli.

i think they are cheap. heard to many bad things, blow outs, bad ware, dont last long, cheaply made. my 2cents

The Charger RT I owned a couple years ago came with the Contis...I only put 3500 miles on the car before trading for an SRT8 so I dont know..but the overall rating around the LX forums is the contis suk....but the truck tire may be different..:dontknow:

normaly the softer ( better ) tire, the less good thread ware rating.... normaly....:dontknow:

is that susposed to mean that it is a good tire? you have to look at the ratings from the people that have them and they(the ratings) dont look good.
