There is nothing that 3600.00 won't fix.

Just get a stinker axle and drive on.

None of the parts discussed on this thread will work in the Dodge factory axle.

I went with MARK WILLIAMS 40 SPLINE, WITH A SPOOL IN THE SILVER TRUCK. Juxt the parts were 5K.

Got Tony's axle in the red truck and it works very well.

that was a very easy install.....:D

love how cut and dry he is....no bullshit ...just truth...kinda reminds me of chuck norris:dontknow:

Love "Stinkers Rear End"...

I have the prototype...it was designed on my truck...it works...the only way to go...and if you ever pull the axles you will understand just how stout this rear end is!

The Dana 60 with the C clip is a tough nut to crack. I have researched this also.

I have been up at Summit in the past and couldn't find a fix (before Stinker's axle). Not saying this won't work, but I would be surprised.

I am still on the stocker, with a spare cryo'd in the garage. Once again, before Stinker made a kit.

It comes down to actually, buying what you think will work, and then being a test case on the install. Expensive route if it doesn't work.

so which is better????

c-clip or non c-clip?????????

The reason why I posted it was because I saw a similar kit being install on a Chevy limited slip rearend (similar to ours with spider, side gears, and clip) that worked and very easy to install. Easier than getting those spider gears IMO (No special tools required everything just slid in silky smooth). I was on a show called Gears on Speed Channel and done on a project called Knuckle Buster. I'm sure if you google or youtube it I bet you will find it. I would do it but I'm a little busy at work. If nobody has found it I look for it when I get home tonight.

they are checking at this moment, now they are not saying it cannot be done with alot of fabrication, but at the moment they dont know of a c clip eliminator that will work with our eom axle ends, Dodge did something different with them and they dont know of any that will work.

now we may be able to contact mopower1958, to me he may be more knoweldgable on the axle ends and may be able to tell us.
but they are also checking with detroit to see if they have a locker for the c clip axles yet

ok, nobody offers a c-clip locker for our axles, and to my knowledge and DTS's, and I looked around a good bit, but could not find a c-clip eliminator for a dana 60 as most of the 60's never came with c clips
