here is what you do when its your birthday and have no life...just learned this on the viperalley...hold down alt and use the number pad.
alt 0176 = ° degree symbol
alt 0167 = §
tried a whole bunch and found my favorite...

alt 0134 = †

see how easy it is to up your post count
 
Go out on google and do a search on ASCII Code table, you'll find them all. Us programmers used to use them all the time, now days not too often.

Back in the Dos days I would use Alt 255 to create "hidden" folders. To get into the folder they had to know how many Alt 255's you used to create it.....

Seriously? Doesn't it have numbers across the top? Mine doesn't have a seperate numbers pad, but still has them across top of letters like regular keyboards.
