1. Pull the plugs - if head gasket or cracked head, you'll know with that kind of consumption. On my iron V-10, I had a cracked head that dumped coolant into the exhaust port, but no smell out the exhaust - cats ate it up.
2. UV dye. Even with leaks considered "non-visible" by most, this UV dye will show up with black light and yellow glasses. I use it for AC, coolant, oil, trans, etc.
