Put new Zeon XSTa's on my truck Monday. Here's what it's like so far:
Designed for sustained 140mph

Noticeable improvement in ride
Noticeable improvement in "rabbit hunting"
Excellent in the rain with a little snow mixed in.

Not as quick(handling response) as the Pirelli's, doesn't have as much of that "road racer" feel but still just fine on the hard curves. Minimal sway.

Haven't done a lot of trials but don't seem to hook up as well :dontknow: :dontknow: Softer compound I think, haven't done the research, sure someone knows

They look decent....pics tomorrow in daylight. Well, that's about it for now.
Lemme know how your new tires work. Lot's of guys went with BFG's I think.

I'm running those Coopers(3rd season),they have been a really decent tire, the price was right and holding up very well, not the best tire but far from the bottom of the list,if I were to rate them,I would say a 8 out of 10 :)

How many miles have you done since Monday? I always get a good laugh out of guys who buy tires and then immediately bag them (you aren't, I'm just saying). They take a good 300-400miles at least (depending on brand) to wear in. Any tire will be slippery, slick and bad until they have been worn in. Give them at least a month of solid driving then let us know what they're like IMO. :) It's like describing how a chick is in bed to your mates when all you did was kiss. :D :D :D Ps: For those interested, how much and where?

Well, I drove them all day Monday from 0900 to around 2200 on all types of roads, in the rain and snow. Then I drove them most of the day tuesday...about 600 or so miles. And I'm just guessin here but I was beddin girls and burning rubber before you were born and I only talked about the tires:D :D :D I gave em a fair shake, thanks for your input.

For anyone interested they were 179 a tire at a local company.

best wishes, glad you enjoyed your "laugh".

Just put on a set of Conti's. So far I love them. Paid $171 each for them

No need to take it to heart. ;) I put it as friendly as possible and meant nothing by it. I just like to make it as factual as possible. When it comes to what people do to their trucks based off forum advice, I like there to be no ifs ands ors or buts for safety and their wallet, nothing more, nothing less. :) Sounds like you ran them in, glad we made that clear as driving them since Monday (sounded) like a short amount of time to judge. Yes, no doubt you were "beddin girls and burning rubber" well before me, congrats, well done? :dontknow: lol.

Were they as hard to get on as the Zeons....I thought those Hoss's at the tire shop were gonna bust a gut on the machine trying to get those stiff sidewalls over....even worse I figured they were gonna trash at least one wheel... but they did allright.

You'll have to post up a road report when you get em "broke in".

Thanks Carl, hope they work out....pretty pricey, like everything else on our trucks.

Go back to sleep. Thanks for posting pics. I've been wondering what the Coopers looked like.
