Crank pully wobble

250 ft lbs if you have the 1 1/4 head and if you have the 13/16 bolt o believe it is 180 ft lbs but I will double check. Yeah if you dont put that damn thing on perfectly straight your gonna chew the end up on it mine was under warranty so I did not try to clean it up if it is to gauged then it won't be true as far as balance and the aren't cheap.

a 130 ft lbs for the smaller bolt.

proper specifications.
CRANKSHAFT DAMPER
REMOVAL
(1) Raise and support the vehicle.
(2) Remove the engine front shield.
(3) Disconnect the radiator fan hydraulic lines
(Refer to 7 - COOLING/ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN -
REMOVAL).
(4) Lower vehicle.
(5) Disconnect the air inlet duct, IAT sensor, CCV
hose at the throttle body, and remove the air cleaner
housing cover.
(6) Remove accessory drive belt (Refer to 7 -
COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS -
REMOVAL).
(7) Remove the radiator fan (Refer to 7 - COOLING/
ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - REMOVAL).
(8) Raise and support the vehicle.
(9) Remove crankshaft pulley.
(10) Remove crankshaft damper bolt.
(11) Install crankshaft insert, Special Tool 8194
(Fig. 97). Lubricate the end of Special Tool 8194 with
wheel bearing grease or equivalent.
NOTE: Lubricate the threads of the puller using
MoparT Nickel Anti-seize Compound or equivalent,
before beginning crankshaft damper removal.
(12) Using a bolt-grip type universal puller,
remove the crankshaft damper (Fig. 98).
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Lubricate the threads of Special Tool 9055
using MoparT Nickel Anti-seize Compound or equivalent,
before beginning crankshaft damper installation.
(1) Raise and support the vehicle.
(2) Install crankshaft damper using Special Tool
9055 (Fig. 99).
(3) Install and tighten damper bolt to 176 N·m
(130 ft. lbs.).
(4) Install the crankshaft pulley. Tighten crankshaft
pulley bolts to 23 N·m (200 in. lbs.).
(5) Install the front engine shield.
(6) Lower the vehicle.
(7) Install accessory drive belt (Refer to 7 - COOLING/
ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - INSTALLATION).
(8) Install the radiator fan (Refer to 7 - COOLING/
ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - INSTALLATION).

press her back on . lock tite and torque the sucker down and youll be fine.., mine came right off and wrecked the balancer put on a new one and its all good...

Nice to have this forum to discuss these things - put alot of arm into it and it did move back some, and reduced the wobble, but still sticking out about 2 ribs worth on the belt - dont want to over do it, but still had the tension on the pulley - not sure how much more to torque on it for fears of breaking it off - but still better than hand tight. More to come, think I'll release the tensioner and pull it off to inspect, then torque it down to spec, but feels like I am already applying more than 150 ft lbs just to get it back to where it should be. Think I caught it in time as not to bugger up the crank end, but we'll see

Mine got worse

Yesterday out of the blue mine got a lot worse. I have been checking it religiously since I started this thread. The first time my ballancer had 0 wobble.
Yesterday morning I noticed the pully acting up again and on the next stop noticed the ballancer acting up . I was 1 mile from the dealer so i weighed in my options. Get it toed to the house, or drive it to the dealer . I knew that It needed to be done right and fast before I did damage so I dropped it off at the stealer. :dontknow: :dontknow: Just to big of a risk to drive it any more , I know time to do it my self with the limited tools I have.

Good news is that they said the crank was fine, and tomorrow or Friday I will be back up and running with a 12 mounth warranty on the offending bolt. If you have a different ride fix it your self and save some cheader , If not get it fixed before it really does some damage.
