Being a native Mississippian I would like to personally thank any and all people who participated in Cruisin The Coast! As some of you know Katrina leveled the Mississippi coast line from Alabama to Louisiana, however the Democrats and welfare people would love for you to think New Orleans was the bigger disaster. New Orleans had its share of damage but Mississippi had a rich history of antibellum homes and historical landmarks that were totally wiped away for at least 40 miles of coast line. Our Govenor is not a whiner and complainer like Louisiana's governor and N.O. choclate milk mayor. With help from all over this Nation Mississippi is rebuilding to be better than ever.
There were 4,516 registered Muscle cars, street rods ,classic cruisers and late model hot rods. Several hundred cars did not even register but showed up to cruise, drag and just have a good time. 12,000 motel rooms were filled and remaining eating and entertaining venues were filled. I saw tags from Illinois, Missouri, Indiana,Oklahoma,Alabama,Tennessee,Georgia,North and South Carolina,Ohio,Texas,Arkansas. I saw 2 SRT 10's, mine and a Red RC. We had a blast at the drag strip Friday night where 15.00 would buy you repeated time trials from 6 till 11 pm. I ran a best of 13.41 @ 106 mph with a 2.228 60 foot. My son even ran a 16.35 in his Cummins 2500.
Thanks again for helping the Mississippi recovery effort. Hope to see some of you guys there next year!

Almost forgot, two L's were there, one ran a best of 13.80 the other a 12.93. An SRT 8 Charger ran a 13.61. A Brand new GT 500 ran almost into the guard rail, that was his one and only pass. I think he had to change his pants!
