I've already dismounted my tires of the rims and need to get them ready for powdercoating. They have some slight curb rash and like to know whats the best way to get em ready. Should I just sand them down with like 400 or 200 grit and call it done? One of my rims, there is slight gash on the edge, Should I just file as best I can?

For the Final question---------What color should I get the wheels done?

BLACK/RED STRIPE OR ALL RED??? If we have any pics of what the all red wheels will look like plz post em' .

Think about this option:

As soon as the snow comes my rims are headed for this process...the results are incredible...they handle the rash issues with a base coat that covers all scratches and gouges...takes about two weeks...I have an estimate of about $200 per rim.

Very nice option Prof, But I'll be honest and say its a lil more than I like to pay.

Prof,

You know anyone that has done this process to the stock rims? I might be interested.

Straight black, with chrome lip. Looks badazz on Vipers, I think it would look good on the truck to.

i voted black because black is the new chrome. :)

Just got the wheels back today.... had a hard time picking a color but in the end, I decided to go with a bbs gold color. I knew black was a color that would look good and be safe. But it seems like i've seen alot of trucks with black wheels, I decided to take a chance. The wheels came out great! Pics up tomarrow:rock:
