My builder wants me to find a damaged cylinder head that they can experiment with porting and then chop it up to make a hone plate out of it. Anyone with damaged heads that are no good who needs to put them to a good cause and doesnt want a bunch of $$$ for them?

$500.00 plus shipping.

I would prefer a damaged head as they are going to chop the shat out of them. These ones are still good right?

I am going to Fort Lauderdale on the 26th, how far are you from there? If I havent found a bad head by that time and you still have these I may consider it.

I recomend you find a builder that already has experience with the viper heads vs some guy testing out his talent on a test pair then doing yours.. not a great idea...

No worries, I have 100% faith in the shop doing the work.

I'm using the same builder and its not a back yard shop, this place is the one of the best engine builders around with an amazing track record for over 25yrs! This guy builds engines that last not experimental projects. He has the best track record for jet boat racing motors and if you know what kind of abuse those engines take in an event you would tottaly understand. I have 100% faith in this guy,he knows his stuff and will build it right.

I don't think its about being a good builder on different setups , jet boats, airplanes whatever, its about having experience with the viper engine and how it reacts to your set up and knowing what little things help and what hinder the setup. but hey its not my set up so do as you please.
Personally I used a builder who has the record for the fastest NA Viper Srt10 " Car", Just think it makes sense to use someone who knows how to build that particular engine. VS someone who has never touched one.

Yes he is correct. Its like going to a general practioner vs a specialist.
