DC Area Dragstrips

I was looking for Dragstrips around my future home in DC. Its amazing how difficult it is to find out how long a track is by their website! I have a few within one hour from me.

Capital Raceway is 15 minutes away 1/4 Mile
Maryland International Raceway
Colonial Beach Dragway
Old Dominion Speedway 1/8 mile
SumerDuck Dragway
Cecil County dragway 2 hours away

has anyone ran on these tracks?

I ran Ol Domino years ago (15 or so) -- it was a dump. I haven't been back since -- maybe they cleaned the place up... But I hear their test and tune sessions (Weds I think) get a good turn out.

I never ran any of the others but I hear Summer Duck isn't bad.

My dad use to race at capital all the time. Thats our home track so to speak. I think my parents even met there. 75-80 should be open again, thats the same place moterweek does there summer time testing.

O and capital was show in an episode of the BBC Top Gear. They were looking for a drag strip around DC and figured they would go to the capital of drag racing.

Summer duck is decent, I run MIR regularly good track. Colonial is 1/8th and not great. Not a fan of capital rw myself. even if they ever do reopen 75-80 i'll never run there again.
