Hey Quick, did you pull out the black plastic piece behind the grill on that side for airflow? Looks like I'll have to pull mine out for airflow to the filter setup I'm looking at having.

That would be correct...plastic piece is gone, better air flow for the whole engine bay. The new stack takes-up most of the space anyway.

HMMM, I need to get mine out and find out if I can hear anything. Too bad the big part of the grill covers up the center of the velocity stack, could have even more sucking. I'll get some pics of my setup friday and post them.

Damn!! That is one big air sucker right there!!! I like the way that is set up. I'll talk to Jay about how it is done and see what his thoughts are on it. Would have to have the filter sticking out into that area somehow... hmmm. Have to think on it for a bit.

Can anyone give me a rought estimate of what the DC airbox and intake cost? I am trying to see if it will fit into my budget when I have them do a paxton install.

The inlet tube is 400 and the airbox is 848.

We modified the inlet to go below the horizontal grill area so we could run both boomers and the stock paxton heat exchanger.

You just use the filter that comes with the Paxton. Can't say that I remember seeing a brand on it anywhere.
