Disassemble the gauge cluster?

Anybody ever disassemble their gauge cluster? Is it possible to take the clear plastic off of it without damaging it? I have been thinking about painting the black plastic that surrounds the gauges, inferno red. Thanks!

I know alot of them I have opened up, just unscrewed. Have you taken it out of the truck yet?

Not yet....wanted to see if anyone had done it before I start ripping into her. I have taken a few dashes apart and on my stealth the cluster comes apart via screws like you said but have seen a couple that are glued like headlights.

VERY VERY SIMPLE bro. Like 10 small screws to get the the cover off and only a few screws to get it out of the truck itself. Took mine apart to replace the cover since it had a scratch in it.

Nice...thanks buddy! Does the black shroud around the gauges come apart from them? Or would I have to tape off the gauges/dummy lights?

i believe it comes off also. No screws but had a couple clips if memory serves me right
