yea, I am going to the track tommorrow night,,,,I wish there were more of yall arond here. I am getting called out by another L that just got a lower and exhaust.

so I have do do is take the nut off on one side? Will everything go back into place for I can put it back on for the ride home "1 hour drive"

it allows the weight to transfer to the rear wheels more

Only on a drag strip right? I thought the sway bars helped make the truck more stable? I dunno, this is news to me.

Nowwhat said:
thats the trade-off.....:D

So does this help in the 0-60 times or the entire overall time on a 1/4 mile track.....and I seem to remember somebody driving with only a pair of brakes (vs. a set) and sometimes trade offs=scarey!:D:D:D

the launch....helps load the rear tires for traction....

Stick take the two bolts off the top of the links, I did both sides, and take the bushings off too or you will loose them:D

made a ton of difference on mine, enough to get a good enough grip to put a small bend in my leaf springs at bradenton:D

Dont do it for the hwy, the truck will handle terrible

is that how you ran the 14....?:D

Stinker, How did it handle going down the track? I will be running the 1/8 mile

Handled fine on the track bro, its just on th hwy, with the crown an in turns and all it swayed alot, but on the track you will never miss it, other than the front end wanting to come off the ground:D

Nowwhat that is exactly how ya run a 14 bro! great now everybody knows my secrets:D

We already knew your secret Stink. Its shifting...;) :D

The (anti)sway bar does just that; it prevents torsional sway to improve hard cornering performance generally by limiting overall body roll.

The rub is: for a high torque, rear wheel drive vehicle, it prevents a necessary inherit lean for the chassis while the drive shaft is operating at full load. Thereby increasing the uneven pressure on the rear wheels as a result of the torque between the axle & transmission.

Disconnecting the linkage frees up the chassis to absorb the torque and keep the weight evenly distributed between both rear tires.

Connected = Good cornering

Disconnected = Good straight line launch

Obviously, this really only works on live axle setups like ours.:)

Whats a live axle setup??? Man, these tech threads get confusing.:)
