Another one from Larry H Miller Dodge

In Sandy. Utah

Rating Service: Excellent

But it needs to be understood that I have at this point not needed the expertise of a Viper Tech. All my need were mechanical, body work and paint. Of which all were done to my satisfaction. I was allowed to drop by anytime and check the progress. I was allowed at anytime to come by and take pictures. I was present and even helped in the painting.

About a week after getting it back, the steering was all manual. Several other members at the time had posted about there pumps going bad. As all the steering mechanisms were brand spankin new, except for the pump. They were a little surprised I had steering issues. As I relayed some of the issues that were common between what mine was doing and what others were doing. I got a call back telling me indeed the pump was toast, got it back in just a few hours.

Tonneau, nav unit, rhino lining, heated seats have all been added at the dealership with no issues. They never had my truck for any longer than promised.

Those that know my issues and have seen my truck before and after can either confirm or deny the quality that I got.

Tators Dodge, South Salem New York.
The oldest Dodge dealer in the US Since 1919. When you fist see this place your reaction is WTF is going on here. The decor and buildings are reminiscent of that time period .There isnt anyone working there, no-one at the counter , no sales people. With the exception of a few Vipers, Hemi magnums and a RC here and there, there are virtually no cars in the lot . Inside the shop there are all types of Mopar hot rods in various stages of repair.
The owner ,Chuck Tator ,apparently does every thing himself. From what I hear he is a Viper wizard who has done more Roe installations than Roe Racingthemselves. He is an extremly knowledgable guy who takes pride in the fact that he personally works on your vehicle himself.
He will be working on my vehicle and can post pics of this place if anyones interested.

Hill-Kelly Dodge Pensacola Florida

They keep giving me warranty work even with the turbo. Got to love that.

Earnhardt Dodge - Positive
Gilbert, AZ

Good service from my svc advisor Don Thompson. Didnt buy the vehicle there and they still treat me well. They are always super busy so staying at the dealer for a repair (even when I have an appoinment) is out of the question. Fixed everything I asked for with no squaking about it.
I would like to try avondale dodge but it so damn far from where I live.

I would never buy a car from this dealer, they dont try to tear your head off; they try and rape you on the spot.

Superstition Springs Chrysler - Very Positive
Gilbert, AZ (for my 300SRT8)

Great service from my service advisor Chuck. They are a little slow with the repair times but do what I ask and dont get any crap about it. I bought the car from there as well and was happy about the cost.
(I am the type that makes the salesman give me a personal check if the dealer wont knock off the doc fees). So after my salesman wrote me a check for my doc fees back (because the dealer wouldnt credit them) I tore it up because I didnt have to ask. I'll go back.

Brown and Brown Chevrolet - F those pricks
Mesa, AZ

Mind you my brother works here and he hates the mgt as well.

Terrible service - I had to sue GM/dealer because the dealer couldnt fix my repairs in 3 attempts.
Sales - I will never buy a car from them again. I bought an extended warranty and 2 months later asked for it to be refunded (which I have the legal right to unless 3yrs or 36k miles started). FI Manager said he would do it and the credit would show up at my bank. I took his word for it and shouldnt have, he never did it.
Since I sued the dealer I got my extended warranty $ back X 5.
Dealer General Manager Tim Brown is an arrogant c*ck. I went to school with him.
My brother overheard him belittle someone that he is going to make $900k this year and that the person getting belittled will only make X.
Likes to show off his Lambo for all to see. I like to work with people that are a little more humble.

Power Nissan - Neutral
Tempe, AZ

Sales - Gave me the deal I wanted in 15 minutes. I like that.

Service - Couldnt fix my center console in 3 attempts. Got pissed and threw some nasty words around while customers were present. Issue got fixed immediately.

you guys sound like you have great dealership stories . mine just came back with a quarter sized dent/gauge/scratch on the hood . the guy said he could get me some touch-up paint . i started laughing and told him he was lucky that i had just completed one year of anger management classes ! (no joke) ... Had to get the customer service manager to come look at it before i left because he wouldnt write on my receipt that they were responsible for the dent , and his service manager was gone and he couldnt personally accept responsibility . Dodge City La Quinta SUCKS ! no viper tech. , $129 oil changes , and they leave my truck outside at night .... sorry needed to vent ...

Clinton dodge/ford, clinton new jersey.

i was working at the local car wash on weekends for some extra $$. they came in and washed it. i asked what they got for it and they said it wasnt sold yet. so i went in later that day to drive it. they tossed me the keys and said go take it out for a few and see if i like it. i did. and did. so i wanted to trade in my 03 1500 laramie 4x4 with every option and 40k on it. they offered me 8,000 for it. i laughed and called my mom. she said get the srt, and keep payin for the hemi till i can sell it private. so i signed all the papers and my friends came to drive the other home. well about 3 weeks passed and i still had no plates, so i went down to check on them at the dealer. they said they were having trouble with the title. they gave me a notorised letter stating that the truck was mine ....... and that i couldnt get in any trouble. well about 3 weeks later (well over the temp exper.) i got puilled over cause the plate was out of date. the cops towed it to the dealer, and said if they saw it again without the plates they would fine the dealer. so the dealer wouldnt let me take it, and it sat there for over 3 months. i took them to court cause they were pricks and the judge made them pay 3 months payments.

my opinion. 1/10. very poor customer service once papers are signed. i will NEVER go there again

Bob Caldwell Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth
Columbus, OH
Svc. Dept. Mgr: Todd Oldham
Viper Tech on staff: Yes
Rating: 9.9/10

This is my 4th DCX vehicle, and the 2nd one that Bob Caldwell's staff have helped me service.

- Multiple services with the Durango; parts on time, excellent service.
- New front bumper and fascia on the SRT-10: They handled all of the insurance paperwork and understood my concerns about anyone else driving the truck. The manager of the body shop said, "I'm the only one allowed to drive the SRT vehicles." That very much put me at ease.
Truck was returned to me within 48 hours with 0.3 miles on it. :)

Post-repair, I noticed that the actual metal bumper was scratched behind the fascia. On regular Ram trucks, their fascia covers this. On the SRT-10's, the metal bumper is visible through the mesh. I took the truck back and explained what was up. The manager said, "They normally don't ship bumpers with any kind of protection so they get scratched a little."
I asked, "Since it's visible on these trucks, can you paint it?"
Reply: "Sure, no problem. We'll need the truck overnight though."
I haven't been back to have the bumper painted yet (weather/living life), but when I do I will post results.

Parts department is great when it comes to Viper stuff. Information takes a few extra minutes because they do more minivans than SRT-10's, but they usually come through.
1-2 days on most parts. Oil filters have always been in stock.

I would never buy a car from this dealer, they dont try to tear your head off; they try and rape you on the spot.

I can vouch on this one... Though I never did have service done their, I did buy a vehicle there. I had my Twin Turbo Dodge Stealth when I moved to the area in late 1995, and when I bought my house in 1996 the bank did not like the $727/mo payment, said it was not practical for a 22 year old to have that kind of payment, even though my debt to income ration was still well within the limits.

So I traded the car in, they would only give me auction wholesale for it (which is the typical rip that dealers put the screws to customers...), then wanted to charge me MSRP for the "replacement".

The bank had me at the time, and I wanted the house, and out of an apartment, so I did the deal. The replacment car was just supposed to have been a "dealer loaner", it only had 12,000 miles on it. I even asked them to make sure that it was not a rental or in a wreck, turned out after the fact they bought the car from Alamo, and it was wrecked.... Alamo even sent me a letter verifying the history.

They refused to redact the deal.

Earnhardt Dodge in Gilbert is the biggest rip-off dealer in the USA. They will lie, cheat, put the screws to you, whatever it takes to get you into a car, then when you find out you have been taken, they say "oh.. too bad.. you must have heard us wrong when we told you about the deal"

Even the BBB told them to redact the deal, the AZ Attorney general was worthless in the case... and the local news stations were interested until they found out it was Earnhardts, who is one of their biggest advertisers...so they got scared and were afraid he would pull his advertising dollars from them...

DO NOT EVER BUY A VEHICLE FROM EARNHARDT DODGE IN GILBERT.

Now, Earnhardt Ford in Tempe is a totally different story, thats where I bought my former F-350 Dually Diesel at, got a screaming deal, good interest rate, excellent trade value, etc.....

FWIW

Some people dont know how to make a deal and the in's and out's of the business. I didnt either until I got into the business and learned the tricks.

While I am not in the car business I am in the boat business which is the same thing with a different product.

If anyone needs help making a deal I can help as I am sure there are other people here that can do the same. I just hate seeing people get ripped off when they dont have to be or dont know better.

Greedy ass dealers can go to hell.

That's who I bought my Durango from!
While I was only there for a few minutes (internet sale), I will say that they treated me well.

Absolutely best dealer ever BOB & CHUCK Eddy in Youngstown Ohio .

Just got my 06 from them paid 43k for a qc with sunroof/rims/mirrors. They drove the truck from ohio to me in connecticut the next day. Great experience

LOVE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP..CORPUS CHRISTI TX.
only had to take her in once, thats when she was running rough/bucking,they have a viper tech, i was upfront about mods. they replaced TPS under warranty while i waited and i was good to go! p.s. actually purchased the truck at their dealership in alice, tx.

Bought my truck from Woodhouse-Best buying experience I have ever had.

22k off sticker-5 yr 0 interest-enclosed shipping to my home. Plus I got an extra grand off because of the day my deal went thru!

Cole Chrysler Dodge in San Luis Obispo-has a GREAT service dept. Zac the Viper tech is awesome. Very concerned with quality work. Only he works on my vehicle-no matter what the deal-even oilchanges.

Thanks for reminding me about this, Roy! :)

I just completed a service visit to Boniface-Hires Dodge in Merritt Island, FL...

They are GREAT folks to deal with.

I needed a few things....
1. Oil Temp gauge didn't work (stuck at 200 :dontknow: )
2. Truck pulled to the right.
3. Trans "felt" like it was slipping...
4. Bumper needed a repaint (damn Love-Bugs! )

The service manager was very polite... they got me right in! They replaced the oil temp... aligned the truck... checked the tranny (they said it was fine. But, told me to "Keep an eye on it" as it still has plenty of warranty left).... scheduled an appointment w/ their paint guy to fix the bumper (goes in next Thursday  AND they are only going to charge me $150! ) ..... They also changed the rear diff fluid, 'cause they said it was due (16k mi.)

He THANKED ME for bringing the truck in... and even commented that it sounded GREAT with the Magnaflow, and asked where I got that "Bitchin'" CAI from :D ;)

They only charged me for the Diff. Service. :dontknow:

Great folks! :burnout:

Tator Dodge in Salem NY. #2 in country after Woodhouse in NE.

Spoke with owner this morning Chuck. Bringing my rig up there in June for recall / upgrades.

Spoke to me for bout 20 mins. We should get him here to answer questions. Very knowledgable.

Maybe we could establish a rating system for dealers and divide them into two or three categories (sales, services, parts)? How about 1-5 each category with 5 being excellent, 4 good, 3 average, 2 fair, 1 poor, N/A no experience?

Here are mine:
Cedar Rapids Dodge - Cedar Rapids IA
Sales - 4
Bought one truck through them. They weren't too excited I used an employee discount, but over purchase experience was good. Fairly quick processing of paper work.
Service - 4
Not much personal experience with their service other than a TSB for our Caliber under warranty. That was handled well and they fixed the problem.
Parts – 4
The few parts I purchase through them had to be ordered, but they did arrive within a day or two. Don’t go at lunchtime, they seem to disappear.

Hartwig Motors – Iowa City
Sales - 2
I have no personal experience, but a friend of my wife and I purchased a car through them and a had poor experience. They did not get the discount as promised, but ended up buying the car anyway since they ordered with the packages they wanted.
Service – 1
The worst we ever had. My wife took our Caliber there for one of five free dealer oil changes that came with our car. They took two of the oil change coupons out of the book and would not give the other back. Stated there were only three there when we only used one before (there were four in the book when we dropped it off). Mechanic went through my wife’s gym bag and looked through pictures on her digital camera. It was located in her bag, there were greasy finger prints all over it, but as least there was nothing exciting on it to see. The bag was located in the back of our Caliber with the cover pulled over it. They lied saying they were in the back to top off the washer fluid reservoir for the rear when it all comes from the front (under the hood). The dealer berated my wife in front of their customers went she confronted him about the camera and oil change coupon.
Parts – 1
They did not know what an SRT-4 was and argued with me that Neon’s do not have turbo engines. Did not get parts there.

Stew Hansen Dodge – Des Moines IA
Sales – 5
Bought our Caliber through them. Called them on the phone and told them what we were looking for. They said they had a couple of Calibers on the lot. We took a trip out just to check them out since there were none to look at locally (when they first came out last year). When we got there, they got one in with the options and color we were looking for. They had no problem with me using employee discount. Took roughly two hours to buy including trading a vehicle in.
Service – 5
Took our car back for a follow-up oil change and undercoating purchased with the car. They completed the service timely. The car was washed and vacuumed out when we got it back.
Parts – N/A
Never ordered parts from them.

-Muzzy
