Hey Brad - how about some live footage of the crash :dontknow: :p :p

Maybe even two or three, Jerry has a couple more birds on the table :marchmellow: :marchmellow: :marchmellow:

The owner of our local Ford dealership has so many heilos, you can't believe it.

I've seen him stand in a fixed position, turn one upside down, hover it about two inches off the ground and make it circle around him. He has a four car garage that he uses only for his RC planes and heilos.

I used to fly them until some SOB turned on his radio on the same channel I was on and lost about $1,500.00 worth of airplane. Lost all interest after that.

You should try it again with a cheaper plane ;)

They have the new radios now that are 2.4 GHz. The receivers fingerprint to the transmitter and have approx 1.5 million channels that rotate every two milliseconds. They have turned on as many as 10k radios at one time without interference to any other radio in the group - military technology that was used and developed during desert storm for the remote pilot vehicles. The technology was developed by Futaba and have now filtered their way into civilian usage

The old radios are deadly because people now can change the crystals to any channel they want, without re-tuning the radio, so you never really know exactly what freq. anyone is on

FUTABA makes the best, some of the others use two separate receivers to get the same performance. The new receivers are only about 1 1/4 x 1/14 x 3/8 thick

Very cool :congrats: :congrats: You should have taken metal shop to do up the engine ;) :D

Jerry's brother was on a special exhibition team (control line) with the USAF - although, he didn't get to compete at the nationals while in the AF he competed with the guy who took 3rd place at the Nationals in TX, I guess he cut his streamer off in less than 15 seconds

OOOOH that sucks. I was really the only one who had experience at flying at the district competition, the kid got dizzy and knocked me down, and I still cut his tail sitting down.
