I know the link has been posted before. But, does anyone know who built this motor or knows the owner of the truck. Obviously it was an RC and it was built engine with a ROE. I may be interested in it. But, I would really like to know some details on the build. I figure if it's a good build, I could sell my engine, my Paxton and the manual trans that comes with it. This way I could get back some of the money.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it came out of a truck with 33000 miles. Com eon guys, no one knows who wrecked a ROE'd '04 RC with a built motor?
VIN# 3D7HA16HX4G154922

The information in the write up says that it is bored .030 over.

You can't over bore a stock motor more than .010.
To over bore more than .010 the motor needs to be sleved with special sleves.
This costs 4-5 K. by itself for sleves & installation.

The facts don't seem to jive with what can be done.

I don't think you could go 06' to 04' with an engine in your truck:dontknow: I do however know that you can go from 04' to 05':D :(

04's don't have knock sensors and your 06' does so your would have two plugs for knock sensors not hooked to anything not sure how that would work:dontknow:

Shit how can you tell whats actually in the motor without taking it apart.......would any of yall that bought a supposely "built" motor disassemble it before use to check it out first? Iv'e always wondered that about buying a used motor.....

i wouldnt trust it it will cost you more in the long run than building your own motor and you will sleep alot better at night knowing your shit will last.

Maybe you could pm the VIN to Stingray, he might be able to give you some details...also you could run a CarFax Report on the VIN.

I would bet Arrow or John Edwards built the engine...if it bored as much as stated it has the oversized sleeves which are a big time improvement.

From the close ups of the internals the block looks to be sleeved? If so it's worth further investigation. Since it comes with the computer I don't think the knock sensor would be an issue unless you plan to change the transmission to a Dodge automatic.

It'll be going in my QC.

So how is an 04' RC engine going to bolt up to your 06' QC?:dontknow: I didn't think a RC engine would work in a QC.

Actually, I heard it's just a matter of adding another threaded hole or something like that. From what I understand, not to difficult. Maybe someone could chime in.

Why wouldn't you just put the 6 speed in it? :dontknow: Auto's are for women :D :aetsch:
