Does conceding count as a kill?

However, on this forum there've been so many arguments initiated, more BS flags raised and so much animous generated over kills and claims of kills that I guess there's little (if any) clearly delineated criteria for a kill.....

If you raced someone who (in the midst of running WOT) ran his dumbass out'a gas and wound up inheriting the curb and a set of hazard lights... is that a kill....? The answer could be contested on both sides.

The conclusion is that some guys are so desperate to score a "kill" on this (or any) hot rod forum that they'll take (or even create) a kill for the sake of their egos because anything less would cause them to feel inferior.....
Some simply make shit up.....

I'd like to know what the consensus is on this forum regarding what surely is (or is NOT) a kill...... Honestly..... wtf is or isn't a kill......?

Congrats on the submission, Sammy.... I have one or two per day if I'm on the street.... Some guys have the good sense and offer proper respect where it's due...... Good thing, too... Cuz I don't street race.

Perfect Tim.. I was thinking of a scenario around boxing also.. I'll use long past boxers so you older guys can relate.. Here it goes..

Mohammad Ali is in his wheel chair rolling up next to.. let's say.. Sugar Ray Leonard. Ali looks over at Sugar Ray (who is looking back at him) and says, "That's a great reputation you have." Sugar Ray replies with, "Yeah but your rep is more awesome than mine. I don't think I could float like a butterfly and sting like a bee like you did. Marvelous Marvin Haglar kicked my ass recently and let me know I'm not the greatest of all time." Ali smiles and rolls away.

NOW... Does that constitute as Ali kicking Sugar Ray's ass? I still say NO because there was no motion for a match between the two (like Scott and the L)... No official challenge to justify a kill… No victory celebration, no tap out because there wasn't even a submission move.. No bragging rights other than what we all here could assume... This was mere respect all around between two guys that just gave each other the thumbs up.

A kill involves both parties consenting to a contest. If his recognition of sorts were to emerge after that understanding is established then a semi kill or forfeit it could be. Had he suffered from amnesia regarding his recent SRT spanking and decided to go for it, Scott would be telling us a reverse kill story, but not without mentioning he was crippled to begin with. Had the L driver known of the cripple and rushed ahead in haste without warning he would be bragging somewhere.. But would that been fair? I’m sure we wouldn’t think so... The Next 10 would show his azz up.. That would be justice.

The same goes the other way.. Had a race ensued and the opponent were ahead or equal, but blew a head gasket during the race or ran out of gas and fell behind as a result, would you guys register that as a kill? I would be ashamed to unless I succeeded fair and square.. Because perhaps the next time a mechanical failure won’t occur and my azz could be handed to me. “Oh, what happened this time Anthony? You posted a kill on that same vehicle before.†Then I’d have to explain that the driver of the car I killed previously didn’t even know he was racing. How embarrassing.:embarassed:

We’re supposed to be bigger than that. At least let the opponent KNOW they were being raced against. Like I said, if a kill were that simple then I can come here saying I killed the likes of a blown C6 Z06 if the driver showed me respect.. To which you all would call BS given my unpretentious mods.. Hell I would even raise that flag myself.

Just like girls you attention hounds got each others backs. Nothing wrong with that. As if the SRT-10 doesn't attract enough attention already but then they gotta go and make a bright yellow one. :p
