I bought my QC with a Volant CAI and a Magnaflow and it's strong, real strong. My silver QC had a CAI, headers, hi flow cats, Magnaflow and DC performance stage II flash, and I swear my new truck is quicker. The problem is that I don't know if it already has a flash. My previous tune came with a small DC Performance sticker on the computer. But absent that, is there anyway that I can tell if something has been done?
 
I usually change the gears manually, so I haven't really paid attention. Is stock at 5200?

change gears manually ? How do yo do that on a Auto?:dontknow:

Only Dodge would use their left over column shifters and install a 3-speed shifter in a vehicle with a 4 speed auto. I never try
to shift manually, not anymore...

5500- It sounds like a stock unit. You should be up to nearly 6000 with a flash; Maybe even bouncing off the rev limiter on a 1-2 shift, if it spins enough.
Does it still "cut-out" between w.o.t. shifts? If so, the TQ management is still alive and well in the stock e.c.u.

I also noticed a BIG drop in underhood heat (from more spark advance) once the flash was installed. The intake used to get REALLY stinkin' hot just driving it around.

Another way to tell- If it has a Stage 2 flash from B&G/DC Performance, the hour meter in your odometer will no longer work...

Well I'm a bit confused because I have no "cut out" between shifts; or at least that I can tell. Thanks for the tip on the hour meter--I'll check that. You are refering to the odometer reading and not the readout on the overhead display?
