Door handles

So, as you can see from the pic below, I am in desperate need of 4 door handles and a tailgate handle. The previous owner (who I would like to smack upside the head) decided to put on some of those chrome covers. Those covers come with 3m mounting tape. That tape can be removed without causing any damage to the surface. Well, I am guessing that due to the AZ heat, they had issues with the covers staying on. So what did they do? They used hot glue and super glue to keep them on. Well, I personally hate chrome. I was going to take them off eventually but one of them started falling off a couple days ago. When I pull them off, you see what a mess I am left with. I have tried a couple types of adhesive remover but that didn't work. I tried using a razor blade but since the handles are textured, that wasn't working great either. Then I started using some sand paper, but figured that it would damage the door handles. So, long story short, I need all new handles. Anybody have some or know where I can get some for a good price? Thanks!

Honestly before you go buy handles . Try goin to a body shop and ask how much to have them color matched . They gotta sand them anyway . Plus it looks better than stock i think . Just a idea though

I eventually will do that. But figured it would be cheaper (for now) just to replace the handles.

if its not your DD take them off and have them painted.....if you don't want color matched get them painted an oem black color...thats what i did.....they wern't highly clossy or anything....just a nice black that will never fade

That's another thing....it is my daily driver now. So don't have much time for it to be down.

You could also order a set from a jeep dealer that are already painted from the factory, seen a few 06 guys get them. I belive they come off a grand Cherokee

Thanks guys for all the input! Still shaking my head at what the previous owner did. I mean, to chrome it with those crappy (my opinion) covers is one thing but to use tons of glue to do it is quite another. Just dumb!
