Thinking about buying a set of Drag Radials and Rims for the truck. Just trying to get some ideas on which ones to go with. Or if any one out there has a set that there selling let me know. I don't want to have to shave my calipers.

time to grind some calipers and go with slicks if you want real times. Drag radials are a waste of time after 550 rwhp or 600ft lbs tq.

Drag radials are a good compromise if you want less of a chance of breaking something drivetrain related and still hook decently. He's got a Paxton, he'll be fine with DR's. You Roe guys build all that torque down low and slicks would definitely benefit you better than DR's. :)

slicks are going to be better plain and simple, if you dont want to shave calipers get ahold of Moparracing he had a set for sale and if he already slod them then he can hook you up with a machine shop that can machine them down for you, makes them look nice and even. then get you some slicks and you'll be set

Just asking, with a 17" wheel will i have to shave my calipers? If so could i go with a 18" wheel or not? Just throwing this out there I'm just asking has any one ever got a 20" rim in the same style rime that is on the trucks and put a slick or drag radial? I'm not even sure that it would even work but, just wondering.

With 17" you will not have to shave the calipers. A 20" wheel wouldnt work, the sidewall would be to short. You need some wrinkle room in the sidewall. 17" will be your best choice, if you dont want to shave.

Bobby if it's track only tires get slicks. They hook way better. call if ya need more details.

if you have not had your spider gears cryoed they will get trashed if you run slicks ,,Drag radials are best for a stock rear end;)

Been several here tear there rears out using DRs...you definitely need to cryo if you run DRs or slicks......the slicks will get slightly better 60' though not a lot....some here have done 1.6x 60' with DRs compared to the best (FatJack) 60' of 1.5x using slicks.

dr only if you pop that clutch at high rpm ,,,even fatjack was dumping his clutch at 3500. i think his did not go till he dumped it at 5000 or something ,,,im getting old and my alzimares maybe kicking me :aetsch: stink has my spiders right now waiting for cryo guy,,,,then i will have a set of DRs for sale im going slicks also,on my 17 inch rims but thinking on 16s,if i go 16 i will have rims and tires for sale :elefant:

Tires and rims

Got'em comin, finally found a place that had both the tires and rims. That 17x10 is hard to find. I tryed the site that ARRESTmeRed04 had posted up and they told me that a lot of the manufactures have stopped making the 17x10's. The one i went with are the Ultra Wheels (Rogue 175) 17 x10and the tires i went with M/H 390/40R17.http://www.performanceplustire.com/...earchByBrand/manufacturerID/12/productID/7821http://www.performanceplustire.com/...LASH_40-17/productID/10638/dragTireDataID/501
