I have the original moto droid. Got it the day it came out last november. It truly is remarkable in what it can do. The 2.2 update made it even better. AND android has flash which is needed to view lots of internet sights, pages, and video's. Iphone does not have flash and will never have it according to apple. The "right now" hottest phone is the droid X. It is very large though and don't fit easily into your pocket.
My main concerne is the netork and service. At&t really blows balls around here. They wont even sell me a phone because the service is virtually non-existent in this area. With verizon I have full bars and excellent service. Verizon is a little pricey on the cost of service, but I get an employee discount through my work of 15% on monthly bill and 25% on all accesories.
