Drop in oil prices

FATJACK said:
There are lots of small towns in the other 48 States that can keep people employed thanks to these TEMPORARY low oil prices.

This oil price thing is a two edged sword, but lets look at the what has happened the last few years.

United States ix depended upon overseas oil, and they(Arab nations) control the price by slowing down production.

They got the price so high, look what it has done to the world. The big three would not be in the spot they are in now if the price of oil hadn't been spiked up like it did.

Everything is effected (food, steel, housing, uitilities, employment)

It put cities in a bind because they went way out of their budget paying for the high cost of fuel.
School had to do away with bus routes,
Police departs had to cut staff, or not do the job as good as they were expected because they were running of funds

It only going to come back down to the citizens of those ciities who are going to have to end up paying higher taxes..

If were going to keep this kind of thing from happening again, and it will. we need to keep research in wind develpement, and other alternative fuels going, and stop the dependance we have on others countries for our needs.
