So a buddy of mine at the local Dodge dealership called me and said they got in a 2004 Viper black, with 15k.

I went over there and took it for a spin.

I have to say.... My truck is fun, my truck is pretty fast. But.... A Viper IS IN AN ENTIRE DIFFERENT UNIVERSE as far as acceleration is concerned.

Don't shift out of 1st gear until 60mph or so- Hammer down in 2nd and is roasting the tires at 80mph +

It was a great, clean car, but I want a 2008-2010 Blue with white stripes convertible. When my truck is paid off- in another 8 months or so- I'm going to start looking for one.

I will say this however, my JTSVP shifter felt a hell of a lot better than the short throw that this Viper had.

our trucks share the engine with the viper....This is where the similarities stop abruptly as if you were hitting a block wall at 80...end of story!!! Oh and maybe the shift knob...:):)

I wish I could jump behind the wheel of one but alas I haven't been that lucky. After I pay off my truck I plan on looking into buying a Gen. 2 GTS but I'll be honest the Gen. 3 have been starting to grow on me.

Now if I could just figure out how to get a family of 5 into a Viper.....

You don't.

You take out the wife or you take out a friend, or you take out one of the kids.

That's it.

The family of 5 is what the QC is for.

No QC's at my house. My RC is my daily. I just can't see my myself as a "weekend car" owner.

What was the price on the Viper you drove?

I think they were asking 51k. I know that I could buy it for 43k if I pushed.

Yeah, i rented a viper for a day when i was in vagas a little over a year ago for my birthday. That car really is just an absolute beast, and a joy to drive. Im hoping to get one sometime. Maybe in a couple years. I definitely recommend driving one if ever given the chance.!!!!

I recommend driving all of them!

wood chipper :dontknow:

If I was going to tow anything with the Viper, I would try to find something that was more comfortable to sit on than a wood chipper. Maybe something like this: :dontknow:

I know that bike! I have seen it at Biketoberfest in Daytona! It is SICK! The engine sounds amazing!

6 months ago I drove an '04 with 7k actual miles. Original tires. Yep, a whole different world. Wasn't the price or the power that stopped me but the getting out. Could get in but with a replaced knee and the other one with sympathy pains I would need an engine hoist to get out of the thing.
$32 cash would have bought it and I probably could have made a coin or two but passed.:rock:

My next V10 powered vehicle will be a 2006 BMW M5!!!!!!!!Paddle shifted 7 speed..........
