Was not impressed. I dare to say I think my truck performes just as well, is just as good interior wise (if not better), and is paid off (as opposed to spending another $50k after trade in for the Bimmer). I got in my truck after the M3 test drive and was smiling from ear to ear because I was happy with what I was driving and saved myself $70k.

Now....I went to the Caddy dealer and sat in a CTS. I might be VERY VERY tempted when that CTS-V coupe comes out.

Try the (M)5 or even the 6...HUGE difference. With tuning the TWIN turbo (6 cylinder) 1-series are crazy, especially for the $ (BMW money that is...).

The CTS-V? Forgetaboutit...they're Sofa King We Todd It! They're going to be insanely fast, and it looks like they'll now have the drivetrain to handle the power...

08 M3 ? hehe, yes, perhaps on a straight 0-60... but ONE road bend and you see the M3 waving goodbye... no offend intent , but here on a circuit they are about 1/8 quicker... yes, on Zolder after 8 laps of 2:10 , the beemer is going to lap you ... :D :D :D :D again and again, why compare a 5000 lbs TRUCK with a "street legal" race car ? :dontknow: :dontknow:

 I was going to say something of the same.... but, I decided to truncate my response a bit. (see above) :marchmellow:

Do THIS in our trucks...... (anyone want to bet on the left ditch, or right ditch? LOL! )

I know our trucks wont out run an M3 on a road course or through the twisties but how many times do we do that? I didnt really care for the ergonomics of the interior or that damn iDrive. Dont get me wrong, its a sexy car on the outside and the craftsmanship was first rate. Didn't really "move" me though. Obviously, I found something nice about it or I wouldnt have considered it. Guess I'm just spoiled by low end torque. I'm on pins and needles for that V. Especially with the Tremac TR-6060, 6 piston 4 piston brembos, Recaro seats, 550 hp (stock, which it wont be for long), and 3600 lbs. *whew*....I'm there.

1. I "use" the "twisties" every day.... There is a KICK ASS s-curve right before I leave my sub-division...... :dontknow: :D And, I can tell you... There is NOTHING like a BMW or Ferrari in the curves. :congrats: :argh: I miss my M5. :(

2. The Caddy will have SWEET parts. BUT, the SUM of it's parts will be sub-par. :( Like they always have. :dontknow:  GM is in BIG trouble.... and it will not be able to hold a candle to the C63 Merc "THE AXE-MURDERER WITH HEADLIGHTS" (follow the links for the additional parts), or the BMW M's (M3, M6, M5.... or even the 135i) :( :dontknow: :argh:

AND... If I could get my hands on one.... I would DECIMATE you aLL. :D With THIS: (A STATION WAGON)
