I just recently bought an 06 QC and I am going to install a K&N CAI, should I Dyno it and does the CAI affect the tune.

dont see the reason, the K&N CAI wont hurt anything, nor will it give oyu any HP...

You want to dyno the truck to get a baseline number so you can see progression. Go back to the same guy for future pulls so you have good reference to mods.

Also, when you dyno make sure he can lock your torque converter so you get good numbers. Without the TC locked you will lose quite a bit, I've seen about an additional 10% loss on my dyno. Autos are always a little tricky especially with trucks.

Mine made 389 h.p. wheel (all stock) and then around 381 with the K&N cold air kit installed, if that helps...
It doesn't affect the tune, just your ears and wallet... :)
