Now what you need to do is get the truck back on a dyno and get Marty on the phone. He can make changes to the AF and email it to you. The SCT is a great out of the box mod. But each truck is different. You really need to get a dyno tune with the SCT.

this would be the best thing to do besides have marty there to correct the tune.

The tunes don't do too much for the RC, now with the QC it is a different story. .

Just to clarify................the computer upgrade whether it's via a SCT or a DC stage two flash.....gave my truck a very noticeable improvement in power. Well worth the money spent. I would hate to see RC owners shy away from this mod........its a nice improvement.

As others have said, contact Marty and he will adjust the tune and email you a new one. These are not one size fits all. It's an iterative process, and his first tunes he sent to me were conservative, and I'm glad. His process is to get the A/F nailed, then he can increase advance. You'll notice a huge difference as you're running pretty fat with that tune - he'll dial the injectors back based on that. A wideband A/F meter or onboard data collection or repeated dyno time is necessary to get it right.

DC performance has a dyno sheets of an RC and a QC. Just to show the difference in the two beast.
i disagree...... i could tell a huge difference in throttle response & in the top end...... if it's true that it does more for the qc's, than sct tuning has to be a must !!!!:D

I have the 91,93 flashes on my SCT. I put the 93 in first and got bad pinging on 2500 RPM romps. I threw in a bottle of NOS octane boost which helped but didn't get rid of it completely. Then I put in the 91 and my pinging is almost gone, just a little on hard acceleration. I believe the gas I'm buying must be junk. Overall, my truck runs better, runs cooler, and feels noticeably stronger in the low to mid range. :burnout:

Marty can pull some of that timing out - just let him know...

I definitely know why I got the same knock at around the same RPM's.... If you look at my Air Fuel ratio it went way lean, and I'm sure there is added timing there also for the part-throttle response, those two in combination = kab00m! I thought it was supposed to go rich at wot, and than lean out at the top. But the stock and the tune kinda went lean, leaner, than way rich to redline...

I am definitely enjoying my 91 tune. Feels like a different truck. My tail pipes are showing a richer tune. Decel popping is dramatically decreased. Going to try a different vendor for gas and see if the 93 will work. Cat's need to go next.:D
