what would you expect with a stcok truck just from dyno tuning with the sct?.....my truck will hit the rollers tomorrow around noon an im just trying to get a picture of what to expect with my set up

my guess is 485hp/530 tq. Give or take 10 either way. Keep us posted. Thats n/a, do you have nitrous too?

its not a mustang dyno......an i wasnt really asking what to expect out of my truck but what most people are getting out of theirs with dyno tuning with the sct....an i do not have nitrous yet but im hoping to be in the or close to 700 range with a small shot

450/485 TQ (Dynojet)
Mine was 387/447TQ stock, through an auto...add 30 or so for a stick.

A total NA Truck 430/465

Exhaust done 455/495 with SCT thats what mine pulled.

But each one is diff. Hell I think FatJack pulled a 420hp his first pull.

To get to 700 rwhp you will need at least a 200 shot.

If you get more than 500 rwhp with your mods you will be very fortunate.

The 500 hp was marketing puffery. A stong stock engine would dyno 410 to 440 at the rear wheels. 500 at the crank from a good engine was possible.

A few of us got strong stock engines (luck of the draw). Mine was 468 rwhp stock...but that was unusually high.

FYI...the usual conversion of Mustang numbers to the Dynojet equivalent is +15%. But that is inexact by everyone's guess. The two different machines are really designed to test differently...

so prof your telling me the viper cars were the same way?.......good grief that just goes to show you how much weight our truck has i guess...this will be the first time my truck has ever seen a dyno.....how much does the sct usualy help the truck out i do have a 170 thremostat..so it will run cooler i know but has anybody on this site went an had their truck dyno tuned with the sct?...ive seen just a dyno tune turn a normal truck in to a pretty mean streetmachine... just kinda wondering what to expect..i guess...that just stuns me about how much our trucks really put out from the factory

700 is a tall number without some significant work.

Good luck in your quest.

Drive it like you stole it!

i thought forged rods, forged pistons, custom cam, headwork, bumped compression ported an polished intake, throttle body, high performance rings set loose for nitrous, dyno tuning, biger intake an exhaust valves,....only thing im really missing is a roe an a set of headers......i thought that was some significant work......im not trying to argue with you i respect what you have to say in just about everythread...but whatd i miss?

Tooloe check out my sig, and the dyno numbers below. Getting forged internals does not give you more ponies. It gives you the security to add more power adders without going boom. Once you go with a BIG shot of nitrous or blower/turbo, thats when you will start flirting with the 700+hp. On the mods you have right now N/A, I would be extremely happy with a 500+hp on your dyno numbers.

i was 465 with exhaust. i had sean one of marty's tuners come to wilmington and tune my truck with the sct and he couldnt pick up any more power. it goes without saying i didnt buy the sct and he was speech less.

most genIII vipers put down 445-465rwhp bone stock. in the trucks you have heavier wheels, higher numeric gear ratio, and long drive shaft. vipers lose about 10-12% thru drivetrain, trucks in a RC seem to lose 15-16% and QC lost more like 18%.
