BTW- With the supercharger is your mileage up, down or the same Prof?
(Assuming of course you could drive it long enough with the throttle off of the floor).;)

Ron

Mine stayed about the same... but then I have the diesease that keeps me from removing my foot from the floor...

I average about 9-9.5 driving it normally... and about 7-7.5 when I am mashing the throttle.

However if I make a trip across town on the highway (50-60 miles), then I average 11-12mpg....

So I gots no complaints...:D

But everyone is right....

Viper V10, 500+hp, 500+ torque, 5000+ lb truck = Crappy Mileage!!

I bought mine, and have not looked back... I figure if you can afford a Viper Truck.. you can afford the gas to drive it..... no offense meant by that....

1: MDS is a great idea for these trucks... my MBs600 had a similar setup.... It would shutdown 6 cylinders and run on the other 6... the mileage improved dramatically... I could hit a button to bypass it...
2: I found that trading my RC for a QC improved my mileage DRAMATICALLY... I used to average 7.2 now I average 12.4.... mostly due to me not keeping it in second gear with my foot planted on the floor :D....

You mean OPEN LOOP doesn't make adjustments based on sensor input....right?

Ron
No, I worded it correctly. Closed loop (as in WOT) makes no adjustments based upon sensor inputs but runs a preset programed curve. Open loop takes place during regular driving and makes adjustments based upon sensor inputs.

Open-Loop is the "untrimmed" mode. The PCM just sends commands and expects it to happen.

Closed-Loop is controlled based on sensor feedback (thus "closing " the feedback loop). The PCM sends commands, reads the sensors, and corrects its next command based on the received information. :)
