Don't know but I would not be driving it.

Can't be good. Hope for the best, expect the worst.

Damn!

better safe than sorry....tow it in....As we heard with Bone's motor...if it is a Rod bearing the sound will be louder from bottom..(oil pan)....

good luck.....

Rolled 13k this weekend. I wont drive it, looks like I better call the dealer in the morning. It was loud from the bottom as well, that was the first place I checked. It actually sounded like something was loose and cluncking under the truck.

Thanks everyone,

Chris

i hope you for the dealerships sake that you didnt have it done at the same place i did

Mine isnt rebuilt its the factory original motor. I have full faith in Robert and Company. Every service experience I have had with them since Robert moved to the dealership has been top notch.

Thanks everyone,

Chris

i know this is off topic... kindof...if i spun a rod bearing and in turn spun a crank bearing....would there be visible damage to the crank???

wow...i dont know where i got the notion that is was recently rebuilt...????? must have be the crack rocks is was shootin up!!! well not to knock robert or the dealership...but i had my rebuild done the this month and within 5 days i had major engine damage again. bad knocking/metal on metal noise after only 800+ miles. not only that i had vacuum lines not hooked up. the 4 bolts that hold the crossmember on....3 had a inch play in them and 1 bolt didnt even have a screw on it...the 2 bolts that bolt the tranny to the crossmember were not even there. ive talked to fasstdak (viper tech at the mak haik in georgetown) and robert and they assure me that they were double and triple checked these things..but mysteriously they were left un checked...its not like i got under there a unscrewed there bolts or pulled vacuum lines off. hes a good guy, and cut me a hell of a deal...but im not taking my truck back there!
