You keeping the Roe with the stroker motor?

after long and hard thought ive decided to stay away from doing the stroker motor im jus goin to put together a decent hp motor that well hopefully be easily maintained and cost efficent , dont get me wrong though would love to get some high hp but truck kinda went in a show truck in stead or a race truck:)

i got the 750 or 1000 lb from harbor freight and it works very good and the price was right. less then 100 bucks

Good stuff:rock:

These engines are long buggers with a 97 pound crankshaft and some guys like to build them on a bench (me included). :)
The old Gen I s are 700+ pounds, newer engines are considerably lighter...

My builder said the same...table top is best...he mentioned that occasionally these long engines can induce some torque on a few parts when built using an engine stand.

I dont think he will be building it, he jsut dont want it to lay on the floor , till its ready to be built;)

we hope to build his right after Eddies engine gets done, but since we are waiting on a crank now, we may jsut go ahead and work his in:)

well im goin to haul it down with my cummins a engine stand would be perfect to jus set in the bed throw some tie downs on and roll out lol

ok.

i have seen guys do that. just never made sence to me to have a complete engine held on by 4 bolts hangin in the air haulin ass down our super smooth road, lol. now add the extra length of our engines, just not a good idea in my book.
