Engine Stumbles Occasionally...

Anyone have their engine occasionally stumble...

Its very random, and only happens at idle... I will be sitting at a light, and it will act like it want to die but only for a split second.. then its fine... does not do it all the time...

No codes set.

Thinking maybe: IAC valve going bad, TPS going bad, or got ahold of some shitty gas.

I had thought about picking up some fuel injector cleaner and running that through a tank or two..

I noticed it after I got gas about 3-4 weeks ago at QuikTrip...

Sounds familiar. I seem to feel something different while stopped at random times also. By the time I look at the tach everything seems normal. No idea what happened. I just figure it is the nature of a the V-10 beast. No idea but it sounds like you are not alone in this.

Same here.. by the time I get to look at the tach... its back to normal... maybe it will throw a code sometime I can can diagnose it....

It has happened to me 2 times. 1st time after installing the K&N CAI and the second time it happened was when I just started the engine and went up a steep driveway. Both times were only a split second but very noticeable.

Going by what I am reading... sounds like this a normal occurance.. being that its happening it different years of the truck... as wyoramsrt-10 said.. maybe its just something to do with how these V-10s run...

The dealer reflashed my computer and installed a new TPS for mine.... Mine would stumble, and even stall, at the stop lights. Never had an issue since. :dontknow:

Same here but I'm a lightweight. 4 beers and I'm off to the motocross. Just finishing my third.

Mine does this stumbling also.

My idle feels rough at times too ... read in a magazine regarding the new viper engine that one of the improvements on the engine is the smoother idle so looks like a well known trait.
