Error Code... P 0456

I found the list of error codes in the forums already, but wouldnt ya know .....this code is not there. Anyone that might know what it is, please help....... its on a 2005 Quad Cab....30,000 miles.

I'm still trying to figure mine out i have P0442 and P0455 that keep coming back i had P0456 come up once they said it was associated with the Evap system, something to do with the fuel vapors apparently we have a leak coming from somewhere i inspected all my lines but no cracks were found i was debating on just replacing all the lines or taking it somewhere to get a smoke test done to find the leak. Good luck hope someone can help if they do let me know.

P0456

P0456 Very small evap leak. Could be many things. In a nut shell you are leaking a very small amount of gas fumes into tha atmospher. Your gas cap O-ring may have a tear or not fit right, gas cap loose, Chrysler products ars bad about hoses to canister having cracks. There should be a hose under the hood that has a port with a green threaded cap on it , not sure where its at (My 10 is at home), this is the port we use to pump smoke into the system and look for leaks. The hoses here also split, use a mirror and look under hoses also.

Talked with one of my Techs, He said without a smoke macnine the only thing you can do is inspect the hoses and if no cracks or loose fitting hoses try an OEM gas gap. On the Non SRT he said we have replaced a few of the Leak Detection Pumps. Try cleaning the filler neck where the O-ring seals. The guy who bought my first 10 has an evap code . He just drives around with the light on. His rear trans seal leaked and covered his Leak Detection Pump in trans fluid.
