Nope, one in Kenosha, WI a small one in Tampa, Fort Smith, Little Rock, Memphis and others. I am consulting with a firm that is trying to establish more of them across the country...initial target Jacksonville, FL.

There was a trolley system in New Orleans too but I don't know if it's back in service since Katrina.

Many of the trolley systems are proposing to use the "electric" approach...I am dubious about that, but as soon as we get the right batteries that would be killer! The system proposed for Jacksonville does use overhead electric power...

The concept of light rail is becoming much more popular now that fuel prices and the desire for green transportation has begun to grow...but if my dollars were involved...I would avoid being an early adopter!

Orlando is implementing a Commuter Rail project as we speak.
