question for you fellas, i had 3 in exhaust installed last week. ive got 02 sims for the rear sensors the front sensors are still in there. well when i got it back the check engine light was on and the code was 051. reckon they damaged a sensor installing it? if so where can i get one on the cheap.

Dodge will sell you one for about $35...if it is one of the rear ones...a temp fix is to strap that sucker to the frame. It senses just nice clear air and works fine that way and does not throw a code.

i may try that, its just i cant stand having a check engine light on. i know it wont hurt it but it bothers me to no end. ill check with the local parts store and see if they have one.

really if you had both sims connected then it may be a diffrent sensor.

thats what i was wondering, i called the exhaust shop and he said all he messed with was the two front sensors. has re installed them, im just wondering if he messed one up putting it back in. i found one sim but couldnt find the other one last night i know its up there but i was in the driveway with a flashlight and the ants started to eat my ass up so hopefully one night this week ill get some time to pull it back in the shop.

did you have mechanical or electrical sims installed ?

I purchased some electrical sims, and my truck ended up throughing a code. They never worked so ended up going with the mechanical.

electrical sims, have never had a problem till i changed the exhaust
