exhaust question

I have a 05 QC, has anyone cut the exhaust off just before the muffler and piped it out in front of the rear wheels with out a muffler? I did this to a 01 ford lightning I had and it sounded like a freeking Nascar, it was great. :rock:

I have side exhaust but run through mufflers. I've heard it without and sounds ricey

How would catless mids sound with the 4" single MBRP system, looks like a beast, heard it was really loud with cats???

Right now, I have the cats on mine no muffler and dumped right after the quad cab, and it sound pretty mean at idle and WOT, although it is a little over loud when getting up into rpm so it sounds like in the cab, but was told outside the cab it sounds mean, But i dont have the factory piping either, its all personal preference, i will however we modifying the exhaust again, not because i dont like the sound of it right now but, its always good to mix it up again, ( especially when i add the electronic cut outs and new headers!! ) :drool::burnout:

Ahaha nice bro nice, Yeah I actually thought about doing one out the side, on both sides, so when i let off the gas the flames from the exhaust will be on the side instead of under the truck, scare the shit out of people more haha! :evil:

Let me know how it goes i have the same year and model and been thinking about the side exhaust also jUst dont know how complicated it would be to do it my self though.

I dont think it would be to hard, just need to bend the pipe the way it needs to fit, but never know. Ill let you know how it goes whenever i do it. and ill post videos when i can. shit ill post a video on how my exhaust sounds now to give you guys a idea, and to give skidkid a idea on staight pipe

Here is a exhaust clip, my mic on my phone isnt the greatest it muffles the true tone of the exhaust and the lope, but this is how my exhaust sounds as of now, with no muffler, ill post a video for you with a WOT so you can hear the backfire i get =P always fun!:chain::rock:

Sheldon's sounded horrible. I have never heard one on a stick truck.
