ok here comes the big question i've been thinking about doing a diffrent exhaust system than most people just for the fact i like to be diffrent... i love the way the truck sounds now but i think it could be better and i can get a little quicker air flowing out of the truck. and that would make it perform better anyway... i'm thinking of taking my exhaust completely off the truck..

so i'm starting at the flange make a cut about 2 inch's after the flange so i still have some room to get a good weld on the pipeand going from 2.50 pipe to 3" right off the bat. then running the same corse as the catless mids. but when the duals strighten out i want to go to 3.50 inch pipe with 2 4" tips about 12 to 18 inch's long a piece under the truck....and see what it sounds like lol what do you guys think? lol i'm looking for a deep choppy sound

I didn't see any mention of mufflers. So I predict loud.

Can't wait to hear the beast :) I just love Texas because the cops don't give a sh!t about how loud the trucks are. I have my magna flow dumps, but I'm thinking about getting FloPro mufflers. The guy who cut and gutted my cats told me the truck would sound better and louder.

that must be cool in texas, i personally like my truck to be faster then what it sounds to be.

then that would make mine hit ultra hard lol:rock:

It's possible that you'll lose a little low end pedal response with that setup. Hopefully, you won't, but just my opinion after reading the experiences from others who have tried similar setups.

IMO your assumption is correct...there needs to be a little back pressure...but that is only conjecture and a seat of the pants dyno read from a very very old fart.

IMO, the idle sounded OK. But when ya rev'ed it up...

It was really had a very "tuner" sound without the high revs...purely obnoxious...I was afraid that a LEO would pull up next to me or behind me and just have to pull me over because it sounded so terrible...and loud.
