Thank You for the post. Your obvious concern and care for the longevity of the site, and the balance that you maintain, are perfect examples why we need you here.
I am so glad to see you back ...and hope and pray that we can accomplish these goals, share the respect for each other, and continue in a forward direction.
I certainly hope that I have not dis-respected anyone here over the course, and apologize if I did...certainly not my intention.
Thank's Shawn,
Ken

As a "Nicky New Guy" # 911. I joined this website to learn more about my truck and to share experiences with like minded individuals. (other truck owners). I felt the rest was "for entertainment value". The gentleman who is responsible for this post is one of the reasons I enjoy this website. He has an inherent instinct for fairness. A "wisdom", if you please. There are many other members I "follow", because I enjoy their witticisms. (Yes, especially Mr. Sickness). I have PMed many for info., help, and personal thanks. I am excited about meeting as many of you as possible at the Nats. (a place I would never have known about, until I joined this website). I will always strive to earn my place among the "Pioneers" who forged a path for others to follow. (I'm just glad I'm not the only lunatic out there to spend close to 50k on this truck!) I belong to NO other website or blog. If any of the "senior" members feel I do not have the right to speak my piece here, I apologize for wading in, where I may not yet belong. Anyway, my three rules of public speaking, Be brief, be sincere, be seated.Silverback said:Okay, time for a couple comments.
Post Counts. Maybe it is time to do away with them as there are some that revel in flaunting their post counts. There is one thread that I now avoid as it's impossible to follow any longer with the one word posts and pages upon pages of single members just posting post after post.
Okay, enough of that subject. Next. A lot has been said about respect and respect for members with low member numbers. Bull shit. Just because I have a low member number does not mean I automatically deserve respect from a new member.
As the old saying goes, respect is earned. Now I need to elaborate on that remark. There are a lot of members here that I hold in deep respect. They have earned that respect. Now does that mean that the new guy that just signed up does not deserve to be respected? NO! That person also deserves to be treated with respect the same as everyone else, unless they do something to not deserve that respect. And I believe we all know the types that I'm talking about there.
All I really know is I'm damn glad Shawn has returned and all is well in the universe again.

I think the whole damn senoir, post count, I been here longer thing is crap!
Joemags I am no better than you because I have been here longer, yeah some of us have allready endured the torture of making the mistakes and rebuilding, and some do have some good experience of knowledge.
But because their are some that started with the site, or come from the other site, that doesnt give us privelages that the new guys dont.
We should set an example for the new guys, we do alot of kidding here and have a ton of fun, some like it some dont, it just takes a little time to figure which you want.
Then we have some new guys that get in trouble because they are following the lead of a senoir, so the seniors need to be careful on how they approach new people until they get a taste for the site.
I just feel that everyone should be treated equal here and all should stand proud that we are part of the best forum on the net:rock:

speed junkie said:Glad to have you back ILTEMPRD. I don't really post alot because of all the bullshit in here. I come here for fun. I can think of a dozen people here that make it so this site is addicting. I can also think of a few people that act like throbbing cocks. So it is easier to to kind of "Lurk" around to read the post of the few that make me laugh instead of posting and worrying who is going to stab you in the back and make you feel like you don't belong. Most of them are new members like me but there are a few that are old members. As Silverback and Stinker have said above respect is earned not demanded for both new and old members. The post counting is retarded because it is not important. If I have angered any members in the past I appologize. With our help ILTEMPRD can clean this place up and make it feel more like home.

Hell, I am just glad to be part of this place. I could care less about post counts. But we should all have the Viper Powered status. Except Mikey due to his sickness.
