i'm considering buying an extended warranty from continental warranty, any one else done bussiness with them? here are the numbers

$1999.00 for 6 years from date of purchase, and up to 100,000 miles on odometer

i'm considering $200.oo down and $77.00 a month for 24 months, no intrest

$100.00 co-pay per visit

the only thing i don't like about it...doesn't cover the clutch...but then again i don't think there are any warranties that do:dontknow:

does this seem to fall in line with other coverages...i think extended warranties from dealers are much more expensive.

i have 30 days to look the plan over and get a full refund.

dont do it---read the fine print "like in kind parts" means used parts. get a chrysler service contract. they only use new factory parts. well worth the extra money. these aftermarket service contracts nickel and dime and will not pay the dealer the full amount of repairs. you'll be stuck with the remainder. I've been dealing with extended warranties for over 10 years. chrysler service contracts provide rental when you dop off the car and pay for the complete repair.

I got the 7 year premo from Chrysler I think it ran me $2500.00 and covers every part except common wear and tear items. I thought I should get it since I rip ass on the truck and will prob. break something someday.

chrysler also has a no interest 12 month payment plan. i can refer you to a dealer that'll give you a good deal

i dont have an extended warranty but the dealer i take my truck to is pushing me to get one. i will say this my truck is lowered and has an aftermarket shifter and the warranty goes out in february.

i took it in for a tranny problem and they replaced the whole tranny with a new one.

it helps that the guy i deal with on my trucks is an old friend. it was also there for other problems that he just took care of.

you need a good working relationship with your service department.

zolie i must meet this old friend. i need a few things taken care of. also you have anyone looking a SRT10 rc that is silver......:dontknow: :D

thanks every body for the input, any one else? i think i'll get in touch with chrysler.

i went to the link CHUCK B put up.....found a plan for $1375.00, good for 7 years and 50,000 mi. from in service date, and $50.00 deductible. 50,000 mi. doesn't sound like enough, but ive' only put 7,200 mi. on it in 3 years! this is for their maxi-plan (covers 5,100 parts or somethin' like that) sounds pretty good! thanks, chuck:p

Last non factory warranty I bought cost me 1200 and was a nationwide company.About a year in I got a notice inviting me to participate in a class action because the company had filed bankruptcy. They were based offshore so no one got anything back.
STICK WITH THE FACTORY WARRANTIES. They have an intrest in your satisfaction as a customer. The others are door to door insurance salesman!

Buyer Beware!
